    AR9 Brake Open Kit

My AR9 Glock lower is a pistol and unfortunately, featureless is out of the question. I have looked around quite a bit but have been unable able to locate a quickpin / break open / mag catch system for a Forged AR 9 lower.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to where I may be able to locate something?

    Thanks

    Options:
Disassemble it and never re-assemble it.
    Register it as an AW.
    Remove it from the state.
Develop something akin to the Hogue system that works with your particular magazine release button.

    Most work performed while-you-wait.

Thanks for dropping Randall. Its been a while.

FYI, my kit is currently disassembled but looking for something more like the last option you posted. Unfortunately, Raddlock stopped making the double diamond bullet button and cant register it. Im hoping someone here can provide me some leads.

It would be a good idea for someone to develop it for all the poeple who have AR pistol lowers that dont want to register them.

Are you using the New Frontier lower? Or something similar to it? If so, this would probably be what you are looking for?

I cold be mistaken but believe the new frontier are more billet like. My receiver is a forged type. Examples below:

Freedom Fighter Fixed Mag Conversion Kit

            Paired with

BAD Quick Release Take Down Pin

As long as the mag release pocket has the same internal dimensions as a mil-spec lower, it should work.

Bit pricey, but worth it. Upshot is that Freedom fighter kit has 3 lowers worth of pins, so you can do 2 other lowers too if you want to.

You can do what Randall/Jon Road King mentioned but would probably have to free hand/drill press the Freedom Fighter Kit since I don't think the jig would fit.

If you have one that is similar to the 80% Lowers one where there is a button on the left side maybe you can get something similar to the 33.3 CalCatch and mod it to cover that button? I don't know if I am making sense?

The gun is a kit until I can find a solution. The Freedom fighter sounds like the best/cheapest option considering it has a mag catch/release on each side. The only problem is the necessity to free hand drill it. I do have someone in mind that has that ability.

I am surprised no one has made such a device so far. Regardless, it coming. I appreciate the ideas.

They don't, which is the reason for this thread...
