    A2 front sight

I have a really tight A2 front sight post. I already sheared off one tools teeth trying to turn the thing...which I can do for about ten 1/4 turns before teh toosl give out.

Anyone have an idea what could be wrong with the post?

You are either not retracting the FSP detent enough to clear the notches, or that FSP is frozen up in the tower (red loctite? seizing due to thread damage from crooked installation?). I'd really have to see it to tell for sure. Post close-up pics if you can, because I've literally never come across a front sight post that wasn't anything but easy to turn. In fact, the only thing that really keeps it from moving on it's own is the detent!

Any chance this is a competition upper that's had a locking setscrew added underneath the front sight post?
