Adobe laser template for AR lower?

Does anyone have a Adobe Illustrator Template file they can share that is setup to use to engrave AR lowers?


Where I could change the information to fit the individual SN, etc?

That I could take to an engraving shop, that they could use to engrave my lowers?

I have made up .dxf templates for engraving of AR lowers for Xavier's engraving parties.
We have not done the matching fixture yet, but when it's done, the .DXF template will be tweaked to match up with his machine's zero to makes the parties move quickly.

If I understand the engraver works on a X,Y,Z axis correct? Working in only the +,+ quadrant..? So would the front take down be the 0,0? And than would have to measure out coordinates for the text, graphic and safe/fire?

I have engraved a few on my cnc and as for zero that all depends on who is running the cnc. I use center center as my starting point, that way the writing is always center no matter how much or little is there. As for a template I simply measured the open space, make a square in illustrator, type up info and make sure it fits in the square and is centered, and import into my cad.

So I found a shop with the laser and engraver to make it happen.

First name, last name, city and state are required. (common abbreviations of city/state are accepted)
The serial number does not need to have any letters in it.
The serial number must end in a number.
You CAN put letters in the serial number if you want as long as it ends in a number.
