    C96 dl44 conversion?

I just picked up a non matching numbers post ww1 9mm mauser c96!
My question is since I have a gun that is beat and not matching, has anyone done a dl44 conversion to a c96 and had it in firing condition? I'm worried that the muzzle device might fly off. One company was doing expensive parts for this but are no longer. They are aluminum. I'm hoping to find something sturdy. Somethung to hold up under recoil. I will be threading and then pining and welding or jb welding the pin to make this permanent. I just want to find a kit that can be threaded and pined with out coming apart.
Even better if anyone has a line on heavy barrel 9mm c96 slides that would be a big help

Try sending an email to Adam Savage from the old MythBuster. If anyone knows about a DL-44 (Solo's blaster) it would be Adam Savage.

I found a cheap metal kit. I'm going to use silicone to hold the pieces in place. That way I can remove them if I want

Why don't you just remove the rear sights and make an adapter plate to fit in the same slot only higher with Picatinny rail slots??
