    SKS Trigger Group Disassembly

I watched a few YouTube vids, and not much help.

Anyone have any tips to take the hammer spring out?

Drive out the hammer strut pin.
    Remove hammer strut and spring.

      Thanks for the input.

The SKS manual calls it “knuckle breaking”, and uses brute force, but I don’t think all SKS trigger assemblies are the same.

I remember the hammer pegs riding in the receiver under what looks like hooks. Pull the bottom of the hammer back compressing the main spring and get the pegs from under those hooks. Then lift up rhe hammer body and allow the spring to decompress. Now the hammer, the strut and the spring should be free.
