With the right tools and techniques, there's no doubt that the locking block can be forcibly installed into the frame. My question is: How much stress on the plastic frame is too much? Will the frame eventually crack? Being that steel and plastic have different coefficients of thermal expansion, what will happen in cold weather, or with day to day thermal cycling and shooting over time?

Perhaps nothing, but it's just not something I want to risk, especially for the high price I feel I paid for for the frame.

I used a Midway Arms Swenson slide for this build.
I was thinking about going with a Swenson slide and barrel from Midway. Being that they're stainless steel, I just wish they were available in a bead-blasted finish without the nitride treatment.

Anyway, can I ask: How's the fit between the Swenson slide and the barrel?
(I returned one G19 slide (not Swenson) because the barrel hole in the front of the slide was too big IMO; the fit was noticeably sloppier than that of a Glock factory slide/barrel combination).
