Pinned Mags

I just bought some pinned magazines for my Para Ordnance 1911 double stack and wanted to know how to replace the spring in the mags that are pinned?

The usual method is to remove the baseplate and then the spring and follower come right out.

You didn't mention what the pin business is about.
There is usually not a pin in a para mag.

These are mecgar mags that have a pin to limit them to 10 rounds.

The pin probably limits the follower travel.
If the springs are hooked into the follower like they are on a lot of pistol mags, you will have to drill the pins out to get the followers out to switch out the springs.
Then re-assemble with a new pin.
