Sig 45acp mags - multi use

Recently came across youtube video regarding interchanging Sig 227 and Sig 320 (45ACP) magazines. Video showed removing wings on 320 baseplate to snap into 227 frame. Issue with this is the height of 227 base plate is too tall to fit back into 320. Shaving wings on baseplate worked fine one going one way but not the other. At $35-45 per pop, magazines are too expensive to want to stock up on both magazines.

After seeing how the bodies of magazine are the same and only difference is design of baseplate. Started swapping baseplates between two different mags and confirmed reliability. Started chasing another option, aftermarket mag extending baseplates.

Picked up a few +.375 baseplates from Springer Precision for p320 45acp. Plates are available at this time from Springer and also Grayguns, same part. Direct plug and play, prevents buying same item two times, one mag now serves both pistols

Nice. But I don't see a need for it. Certainly don't want to muck around with changing little plastic pieces back and forth.
    Still nice to know.

Agreed, no reason to change baseplates more than once. Pick up Springer baseplate, install and use same mag in both pistols. Done, no swapping back and forth.
