I'm a bit curious, too. Some people will say "Blasphemy!" but it's not as though you cut the barrel, or cerakoted the steel to purple; you just changed the stock. I might order one from Brownells just to see what the fuss is about.

Not a fan but i do see the attraction. I installed one a Mosin for a friend that pays well. you get what you pay for in those stocks, they are good but not great. I had to fix the mosin version. rear pillar was off considerably.

Just be sure it's a Spanish Mauser or some other variety that there are a bazillion of. Not some Berlin made DWM action. or an Orbendorf action, May as well just light your wallet on fire with all the value you killed.
