Got Bored: Did Custom Flat Style Trigger from Milspec

Pretty much as the title says. I got bored and busted out a torch on an extra trigger I had laying around for another build. I have been actually thinking about this for a while now. Can you warp a milspec trigger into a flat faced trigger. The answer is always yes. However, what will the out come look like? Garbage or decent? Most of you will probably not like it. However, I hope this thread inspires those who do to try something new if you like that style and feel.

    1. I put the trigger in a vice and tightened it down very secure
    2. Used a torch to heat it up until it was glowing orange
    3. Then used some vice grips to bend it flat
    4. Then I cooled it down and grinned a little indentation at the bottom for the lip
    5. Then I headed it back up and bent the lower tip inwards to get that lower lip like on the CMC
    6. Then cooled it down and put the back of it on a belt sander to get a little bit more of a flater look
    7. Next ill Cerakote it

I know some people are not fans of flat triggers but I like the way they feel and look. I run a CMC single stage and Elfman 3 Gun as seen in these pictures below and absolutely love both especially the Elfman.

*As of when these photos were taken they were fully California Compliant(save your trolling). They will be on reg. post July 2018

Ha, that's funny. Who cares if people like it or not, triggers are free and it turned out pretty good! I like flat triggers. I'd use it!

Thanks guys. Haven't shot it yet. But I want to polish all the sear contact surfaces before I shoot it. I think I should have that build done by next week.

With the amount of heat you put into it, I wouldn't be surprised if the heat treat of the sear surface is gone and it wears out quickly.
