    CETME Bend Party

I have a CETME/ HK91 G3 bending jig on the way. If any one wants to bend a flat come on down. I'm in Sonoma County.

The Blonde wood furniture used to be sooooo cheap that you could order 3 sets and choose the best bits & pieces for your build (I always liked the Idea of a CETME build for less than $700.00 )

Only an hour away. Now to find a G3 kit that won't cost me an arm and leg. Have you done this before? Cus I am a total noob. As in have not touched a welder or a drill press since Jr High metal shop...and about the only thing I remember from that far back was that Barbra Newfield was seriously freakin hot, and getting kicked in the jimmi really freakin hurt!!!

UPDATE: I ordered a Flat that I am definately going to need help with once it gets here. So I appriciate the offer. It gave me the confidence to order it.

I would like to bend some flats myself, and even moreso, see/photograph/take measurements of the jig to draw up plans & build another.
Do you have it yet? How long will you have it. Is the bend party on?

Bending is set for Tuesday 17th. The jig is in my hands. One peace that is kind of cool is a dye that you draw through the bent flat to strech & do the finish shaping on the inside. Any one that can make it on Monday is welcome. I will PM location to those inerested.

Don't know if I'll have my receiver by then. If it arrives before then I will let you know. A month ago Mondays would have been a problem. But I have some furlough time I have to take every month now. Might as well make it a Monday. Damn recession!

Will you be having more Bend parts, and build parties after this one?
