    CZ TS Barrel Bushing

A quick question for the CZ buffs out there.

Is the TS barrel bushing removable? If so, which way does it go out and what's the standard way of removing it?

I need to know before I have my slide refinished, making sure there are no surprises. (I removed all the other parts, just not sure about this one.)

Front sight roll pin holds it in. It comes out the front

Thanks - I've seen that for other CZs (e.g., SP-01), but on TS it seems not to work.

I removed all the parts, including the pin, tried to move it using hex socket that is slightly larger than the barrel, but still small enough to fit through the slide and I couldn't budge it. A few solid hammer whacks were all I would try before asking for advice.

Have you done this specifically on a Tactical Sport?

I have removed it .... to install the CGW 10x bushing

I show how I did it on post # 8 on this thread...
I think this was for one of my SP01s but I did the same on my TS

After all that work.. I ended up selling the TS http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1339272

Thanks. That's what I tried to do, but it wouldn't budge after some solid whacks with the hammer, so I decided that it wasn't worth it.

I was doing a complete disassembly because I was going to replace some internal parts (trigger, hammer, safety, extractor spring, etc.) and figured that I might have the slide refinished in cerakote just for fun since it's already all stripped. I guess the applicator will either remove it for me, or cerakote over it. Either way, it's a competition gun that will see a lot of abuse so if it turns out to be problematic, I can always have it redone later.

I did one on a TS- came right out.

Maybe try freezing the slide, then heating the thing with a torch? Or penetrating oil?

The bushing was probably drilled and pinned in place, so some metal may have displaced in the channel, which would need a good hard whack to dislodge.
