Does anybody know which single-sided safety this is that Springfield used on their 1911's?

It kind of looks like the Colt single-sided safety but is considerably more low-profile. I thought maybe Springfield was modifying the Colt safety, but that seems ridiculous considering they wer using them on production guns.
