    Anyone recognize this slide?

Does anyone know who makes these unbranded slides and/or barrels? I bought someone else's build project less his frame, and I'd like to know what they are so I could trade uppers for a 9mm setup. If it can't be definitively sorted, I guess I'll have to build more than 1 1911 I was told it may be the stealth arms build kit, but on the SA website, it appears that their build kit's slide has different serrations

Here's a pic, thanks in advance!

What difference does it make? Just buy another Slide that's for 9mm, 38 Super, or 40 S&W and internals and change it out, they all fit..as long as its the same length..

No they don't all fit. If it's rock island which isn't milspec it won't fit.

Personally I'd just build a second pistol, Because by the time you get two slides to fit well enough for both of them to work you may not like the fit, and just because the slide comes from the same manufacturer doesn't mean anything toward dimensionally Identical parts

The pic I posted isn't my frame. My only frame currently has not been fitted.

Can't really tell by that picture. Fusion Firearms offer slides with that kind of rear serrations, but mostly their "mil spec" slides that don't have lowered and flared ejection port. TR-Enabling's slides don't have that kind of straight serrations, at least from what I can find.

It might be from one of the kits Vytamenc Tactical offers, but their slides don't come with Novak style sight cuts.

I think Caspian makes 1911 and 1911A1 spec retro slides like that.

Go here and for the carbon steel slide choose 'change options' you can see there any many options including 'classic vertical serrations', various ejection port options, slide cut options etc.

Thanks pklin, I didn't know to google for GI/style slides that feature the vertical serrations. Looks like:

But then again I'm also seeing that there are a number of "kits" that have gone out over the year from various companies (Colt, Para, etc)

dagle, if the slide assembly was already fitted to a frame before, the original vendor, even if you can find out who it is, is unlikely going to trade you a new top end in 9 mm... This is assuming the vendor even has a 9 mm slide assembly to trade with.

If you're set on a 9 mm assembly, sell this one and fund the 9 mm buy. Don't keep it on an off chance you might find out who made it before or the possibility of trading it.

Sorry I probably should have been more specific. They all will work, I assumed that he would fit the slide to a frame..

I wasn't concerned about the make as far as measurements or for return / trade. I was concerned that I would misrepresent what I was selling if/when I sell it. Since I just bought a matrix jig, I'm leaning towards just ordering another frame...

it looks like a rock island slide, just without the logo
