spectre wont fire with mag in it

Finally got my spectre to fire and cycle correctly. thanks to all those who offered advice. my final problem is this. when i manually put a round in, it fires and cycles just fine. however, if i put a loaded mag in, the first round will fire, slide cycles, another round feeds in and the trigger resets. but when i pull trigger again, just get a click. this is on the first release version of this pistol. the slide and all parts are lone wolf. any advice?

Kinda like the opposite of a mag disconnect.

Your trigger bar is not re-connecting to the striker.
Do you have a pre-travel adjustable trigger?
If so, you removed too much pre-travel.

If not, then look at how the connector is interacting with the slide.
Did you happen to bend your connector so it's a 90 degree corner instead of an 80 degree corner?

I don't think that's possible. If his trigger bar is not re-connecting to the striker, he wouldn't be able to pull the trigger again and get a click. In fact, with Glocks, the trigger won't reset in the forward position at all if it doesn't re-engage the striker.

If I were to take a guess, I would say that he is just slightly out of battery after the slide cycles. Try doing the vertical test to see if the slide goes into battery. With an empty gun, magazine out, point the pistol straight up. Pull the slide back slightly and let go. It should return to battery. If it doesn't, you may have a drag point that's causing just enough friction to keep it from going into battery completely.

Do you have the trigger housing shimmed?
