Gen3 -10 limiter can be used on Gen2 308 Magpul magazines after some trimming. You need a Dremel with an end mill (shaving bit) and around 10-15 minutes of time per mag.
Picture 1 shows the floorplate from Gen 2 above a Gen 3 limiter. Red arrows/circles on the lower picture show where shaving/trimming needs to take place.
Picture 2 shows the limiter after shaving.
Picture 3 is the reassembled mag.
Picture 4 is the dremel end mill I used.
Pictures are from the first one I worked on. The finish is rough. The others have a much better finish after practice. The idea can be applied to 223 mags also. That's next on my to-do list.
