checkering for my 1911

I'd like to have the front strap checkered on my Dan Wesson PM-7. Can anyone please recommend some who does nice/clean work (preferably in the LA area). Thanks!

Buy the checkering jig! Its a must.
Ive mostley tried on g10 material and let me tell you its harder than it looks.
Practice on other materials then on a frame
Its harder than it looks and takes a looooong time
In my opinion but YMMV

You can buy checkered front straps from wilson combat for around 15.00 and see if you like it. That way you don't ruin the value of your gun if you dont.
