Dave's Metal Works is one of two pistolsmiths that I trust to work on my handguns.
Like the gunsmiths mentioned above, he's very busy so give him a call and see what his schedule is.

Here's a Colt Commander he built for me.

SOF, back in the 80's, was a great match. even into the early 90's. Not so much later on. It ran its course and then died a slow death.

          Brad Blancett of BradBlancettgunsmithing.com.

He's in Montclair, Used to run the 45 ACP shop in Santa Ana(?)

He's been doing work on my 1911 for decades.
He tends to lean toward concealed carry mods and action works.
Converting to rd butt, you're gonna have to ask him
?The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not a ?second-class right,? subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees.? ?.. "We know of no other constitutional rights that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need."
          - Justice Clarence Thomas
