    Adding m4 feedramps???

If I get a barrel with no M4 cuts, but my reciever has the cuts, can I add the M4 cuts to the barrel extension? Is it as simple as a dremmel and polish job?

It is so hard to find a barrel now, Ill take what I can get, besides this is going to be a sweet A1 old school build. Is what I am doing hacking? Has no one asked this before?

If you put a non-M4 cut barrel into an M4 cut upper you will most likely have feeding issues until you finally remove it. The bullet tip will tend to get stuck on the lip of the barrel and cause headaches.

Get the correct matching combo of parts.

found this "Can I use a regular barrel in an upper receiver with M4 cuts? I don't recommend it... there is a chance that the round can jam on the little "lip" that is caused by the barrel extension extending into the cut; however, there are guns out there that have this setup and work fine -- this tends to go towards the thought that the ramps really do very little? Again, it is not a setup that I would feel all warm and fuzzy about. Here is why..."

Also I recommend this one http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/?q=...r%20has%20cuts

Yes, they can be added with a grinder later - results may very though, I use a grinder every day for porting cylinder heads so modifying that ramp is child's play.

Thanks, that is one of the few feedramp threads that goes beyond just showing the diffrences. I also found this which is interesting http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=9628 not shure but If I have a problem a pmag may solve it.

+On the first thread above it says I can add the ramps, and I have read elseware that a there may not be a problem with the parts im using. So Ill shot till there is a stopage and then have it done. I read that randall (ar15barrels) can do the mod if need be, so Im GTG
