    AR-15 Pivot Pin Assembly

    Hello, gang.

I need to replace my older pivot pin that is a bolt and screw type to the newer pivot pin/detent pin/detent pin screw type for ease of disassembly.

Does anyone of you have an extra pivot pin, pivot detent pin, and pivot detent pin spring laying about that you can sell me? The regular suppliers only sell all AR15 pins ($19-) or all the springs ($18-) and I don't feel like spending over $40 bucks for three little parts that I need.

Thank you for looking and hopefully for hooking me up.

Does your receiver have a pivot pin detent hole?
Those colts with the screw were often missing that hole.

Midway has 'em pretty cheap, plus they have the extended pivot pins. I usually buy extras just in case.

Thanks, Tony. I did not even think of Brownell's for individual parts.

AR15 Barrels, yes there is a hole in my Colt Lower where the spring and detent can go in. How did you know it was a Colt? Nevermind...your handle says it all.

I've been around the block a time or two before.
