    5D Tactical and Atomic Engraving

    $250 for 5D Tactical Jig, $125 for a used drill press, $125 for a DeWalt router, $45 for a wet/dry vac, $8 for a vacuum attachment, $3 for cutting oil.....an almost MIRROR FINISHED PRODUCT....PRICELESS!!!

Few weeks ago, decided to purchase a 5D Tactical Jig to work on my NFA C-9 lower since EZ Jig isn't compatible. Didn't want to modify the EZ Jig.

I originally ordered a Modulus Jig then found 5D Tactical Jig. After talking with the owner, Andy, of 5D for few days and seeing the finished product, I was convinced 5D would be a better choice. Immediately cancelled the Modulus and ordered a 5D just before they were sold out.

Had an idea of building a Storm Trooper theme AR9...and worked with Mike at Atomic Engraving for few days coming up with a logo design. With logo engraved with proper markings, 5D Jig was used to complete the lower.

With an EZ Jig, it takes about 2.5-3 hours but with 5D, it only took 1.5 hours...and the finished product looked FANTASTIC!

5D uses guides, pins, and bearing to route out the pocket. The endmill never touches the Jig side wall...allowing it for a much better finish. Best jig I've ever seen!

Also Mike from Atomic Engraving was great to work with. He was able to help design and use his laser engraving system to cut DEEP...exactly what I wanted and more.

We Cerakote in San Diego. One lower is $55. Bring in more and it's less per lower.

      Nice engraving!

I need to get two lowers, two handguards, two uppers, and two fixed stocks cerakoted in white. Approximately how much? Do I need to bring them in and leave it there for how long? Will cerakoting cloudy up the details of the logo?

To Cerakote those parts would be about $250. I have Snow White in stock. A different white could be ordered for an additional charge.
Turn-around time would be approximately 5 days or less.
Cerakote applies very thin, less than .001 in most cases. The engraving should remain very clear.
          Thanks for the interest.

Will be using 9mm match barrels from NFA and UTG USA Made 13" hand rails. Will also be installing KAK comps. Both rifles will be built like a set of twins...

Still haven't decided on scopes/red dot.
