    HOME BUILT - Identification Marks

My question is can you make the model number with "AKM" in it?

For example, can I make the model AK47, or AKM or AKM47-762 or AK47-538 or AK762, etc

Reason I am asking is the banned by name AW ban that happened many years ago.

Same goes with ARs, can you make the model AR15?

Firearms that are banned by name are usually specified by Make & Model.

So as long as you aren't engraving "COLT" or some other manufacture listed on the Kasler List, I think you are OK with the model being "AR-15".

                I don't think atf requires a model.

                Model Designation (if assigned)
