    S&W Model 19 cylinder issue

I have an S&W 19-4 2" that I am having an issue with.

When firing the weapon the cylinder rotation gets stiff and the trigger pull increases.

I sent the weapon back to Smith and they said that it so old they don't have the parts to fix it. Apparently the bushing in the cylinder is "Loose" and it needs a new cylinder.

I purchased a cylinder that was from a S&W 19 and when I changed out the extract rod it seemed to fit correctly. I then checked the timing on the new cylinder and found it was off.

Is there anyone out there that would be in a position to help?

    I'm located in North Sacramento.

    Thanks

Suggest you check with 9mmepiphany, on this forum.

I just had my 19-4 worked on by Lincoln Gun Exchange and they did a great job, I too am now having some problems with ejecting spent cases from the chambers, I checked with S&W they charge $45.00 for diagnostics and there is about a 3 month turn around time. I just posted a thread asking for any suggestions for my problem, if I don't get any info I will take the gun back to Lincoln and have them check it out, (by the way quick turn around time)

^ If you shoot .38s, they will leave carbon and deposits ahead of the case mouth.
If you then shoot .357, the longer cases of the .357 will stick where the .38 carbon build up is.
Do a through cleaning of the chambers before sending it off to anyone.
