I don't see the ladder that I assume you have to climb to get a proper look through those sights.

But i do agree the sight is a bit taller than my liking. I am looking for lower profile sights.

Well, since you're not worried about keeping this thing anywhere near the realm of "traditional," I'd maybe suggest a set of CZ Scorpion EVO sights. They're VERY low profile, and they appear to be gaining traction as an iron-sight option on Ares SCR builds, which generally don't do well with standard AR-height sights.
