Problems with Bear Creek uppers sold by Classic

I purchased a couple AR 7.62x39 uppers from Classic Firearms that were made by Bear Creek Arsenal . Both barrels and chambers were filthy dirty with visible signs of rust. They came with the test fire casings that were used for proofing and it appears to me that they used corrosive ammo to proof and didn't clean before shipping.
I was disappointed with Classic for not taking any responsibility at all for selling bad product. I sent them pictures but to no avail. They were all to happy to refer me to Bear Creek for questions. I am in the process of cleaning the bores and chambers and hope to get them satisfactory . I am surprised Classic didn't stand behind what they sold. lesson learned on doing business with Classic. I will contact BCA and see what they have to say.

If you can get some Foaming Bore Cleaner let it sit, then put hoppes #9 on a brush and run it a bit, it should get most of it out.

Good luck getting Bear Creek to answer...

I purchased their side charging upper receiver a few months back, and the part arrived with major dings and scratches and the machining is rough. I'm still waiting for their answer on a refund...

Good for Bear arms stepping up! We "super collectors" always remember these threads as it shows us who supports us.

The biggest issue being a long time collector who have moved to California is how hard it is to get weapons in compared to living in free states, so companies can send us the bottom of the barrel, knowing full well since its so hard to return things we don't.

Although Ive purchased 4 guns from Classic this year, I will not use them in the future. Two of the "excellent condition" m39s appeared to have been dragged behind a truck, and when I tried to purchase a Century Cal legal RPK they would not ship if faster than standard. Even when I explained we have a ten day deadline and we expire at the end of the year and I would gladly pay the extra shipping cost they became very rude.
I bought it elsewhere.

OP please keep us posted on how this turns out, great to see a company standing behind their product..

I also have a bear creek arsenal side charging upper. It was shipped faster than I expected honestly. I am not a "purdy gun guy" but I see no dings, bad anodizing, tooling marks and it was packed nicely also.

I do appreciate a rep coming on here and hopefully resolving any problems that may arise.

I would definitely do business with them again.
