ar9mm pistol help

Ok i have a PSA 9mm cabine kit, they come with an aluminum magwell adapter and it runs great, loved it so much i built a 9mm pistol and since i got a great deal on a promag 9mm adapter i used that(against my better judgement of using a plastic adapter), but i am having issues with the pistol, i am having a hard time getting the 9mm mags to stay in. Can anyone help? Should i ditch the promag adapter and go with a metal one like the KAK? Will that fix the issue?

Last year they had a kit for 399 on sale with an upper, lower block and all the parts minus the stripped lower, but, thats not the one i am having issues with. I have a promag block in a pistol lower and a 9mm pistol upper, thats the one with the issues, the PSA runs like a sewing machine.

ah i see, its a different lower. from what ive read the hahns precision adapter is the one you want. the promag didnt have great reviews.

In reflection, i maybe need to try a standard mag catch. I am thinking it might be the ARmaglock?

On my 9mm AR, the mag catch didn't go in far enough to catch the mag. I put just a slight bend in the arm if the catch so that it could go in a little further. Worked great.

I have the Hahn's unit that uses modified Uzi mags.

Using Factory Colt 9mm and CProducts mags everything worked great.

Using modified surplus Uzi mags, the mag catch just barely engaged into the mag notch. The mag would fall out with any forceful bump or if pulling on it.

I was able to "pull out" the top of the Uzi mag notch to make it easer for the mag release to engage it. This worked, but the rifle developed some FTF from that mag after doing this. I sh^t canned the mag because it became very unreliable.

I ended up taking some metal off the inside of the mag catch "arm". This helped to place the mag catch further inside the magazine notch. This worked great with all of my mags.

I have shot thousands of rounds through it since with no issues at all.
