My front sight sheared off!! Need a little help

Went shooting today and took a springfield 1911 with me. I think Mil-spec model. Anyway the front sight sheared off so Im looking for options. I'm thinking of an upgrade to fiber optic sights. I do have the ability to cut the slide for said sights.
Anyone have a good print for front and rear Novak sight cuts.
Also I'm not sure what Sight hight to get. The stock sights seemed to be the correct hight.

One more thing. There is still part of the front sight in the slide. Looks like I need to push it out from the top??

If just the leg is remaining, you should be able to drive it out toward the inside of the slide.

I had the front sight on my SW9VE Sigma 9 jump off while I was firing the pistol at Field Sports County Park (San Jose, CA) last week. The county Ranger/RO helped me find it during the next cease-fire period. It was lying in the dirt 12-15 feet down range!
After scraping the old glue out of the post slot, the tube of CA in my range bag had me back in business. Only missed one firing session and 2 timeouts. Thanks, Ranger Eagle-eyes!
