    80% lower help

Hi all.. I am purchasing an 80 percent lower soon and I have no tools. I'm located in sac. I am willing to do the work myself, and would like all the advice I can get. I have the general knowledge of how too physically mill it out with an X-y vise. Is there anyone local or up too an hour away that can help? Pm me if willing.

        ^^^This.

Or just get the agent at the next desk over to help you out.

        Sorry, not sorry.

IMO The prevailing thoughts on this matter are that when completing a home build, it must be done with your own tools in your own garage/residence/business. Guidance may be offered by another, but no work may be completed by another. Otherwise what would prevent someone from going to another persons residence/business and using their tools to build your project...if that were allowed, one could just rent a mill with the software and push a button. That's exactly what the D(dumb)OJ is trying to prevent.

Additionally, this has been asked and answered so many times on this board (and probably others) that it has become somewhat of a joke. Hence the responses you received.

It also seems that occasionally folks from alphabet agencies troll for people willing to loan/rent tools or provide physical/mechanical assistance to finish the work, in an attempt to catch someone in an act deemed restricted.

So, if you are serious about a home build, buy the tools, watch the videos and finish it. If you happen to come across someone who is capable of giving advice...take it! But know they cannot physically/mechanically assist in the project.

Some, more harsh than I, would probably say that a search of CG would have yielded the answer to your question before your post.

No one is really trying to be a dick, it's just that some grow weary of the topic. When the answer is so readily available.

            Just an FYI.
