    Ar15 bolt release problem

This my first ar 15 assembly. Other than this problem, everything else works great. It is an Anderson 223.rifle. After loading a new magazine it takes an extraordinary amount of force to press the button to release the bolt and load the first round.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks,.

Does it do this with no mag inserted?

are you inserting a loaded mag or empty mag? If it is a loaded mag, take off the upper and be sure the bolt catch tine is not hanging up on the live rounds.

If not, maybe put a very small touch of grease on the back of the bolt catch where it catches the bolt.

Reduce the number of rounds loaded in the mag by 1 and see if it gets better.

I took it to the range and other than that everything works great, I will try the small touch of grease.
