    ar barrel drilling

Hi I'm building my first ar. I have one question to ask. Do I need to drill holes for the front sight post on this barrel

Tom, the barrel comes drilled for the gas block which can also be used as a gas block/sight like an a2 sight. if you're planning on free floating, then the post can be mounted onto the hand guard.

Gas port should already be drilled.
If you want to use USGI pinned front sights, yes, you will have the relief cuts for the pins drilled by a skilled gunsmith.
However there are tons of sights on the market that don't require pins, they basically clamp on with bolts.

I can pin it for you. If I have your upper with rear sight installed, barrel, barrel nut, and front sight post I can align and pin them to within 1/2 MOA of your mechanical wind zero.
