New upper, old barrel

If I buy a stripped upper and add my old barrel, BC/CH, will it work with no issues?

I searched and found most signs pointing towards yes, but I'd just like some confirmation.

depends i took a barrel off of a flat top bushmaster and put it on a a2 upper and i cannot adjust the sights enough to not shoot too high its weird i tells ya

but i use a scope and i'll just have to remember if i use the sites it shoots about a foot high at 100 yards

Well, I've seen that pop up, but also seen that it won't be affected if I'm using the same barrel, BC/B.

That's really the answer I'm looking for.

Bohoki- is the front sight a standard a2 sight? i think that the sight towers are different heights between a2's and flat tops, although i think that the flat top uses a taller tower which would make it shoot low.
