    Doesn't look terrible to me.

Wipe out. Get the foamy stuff. Fill the bore, let it sit overnight.

You won't know until it is thoroughly cleaned.

Doesn't look like it needs to be replaced. Just give it a very thorough cleaning and run it.

Solvent should help, but make sure you use it in a well ventilated area.

Any recommendations on the solvents to clean that up?

I can't tell but is that even rust?

Barrel still looks good as it looks like build up and not rust, but it's a small pic. If you can post a bigger pic, it may be easier for us to see.

Get some Sweets 762 and use that. that will get the crud out right now.

Then if you want you could use some JB bore cleaner and bore bright. I only recommend that for precision rifles.

Yea, I should have asked him that. If I knew back then how easy it was to dissemble and AK and inspect, I would've had a lot more questions to ask...Live and learn & experience ain't free....

Barrel is just fine. Go and shoot it clean. You will enjoy the process.

I ran some Blue Wonder Bore cleaner, then passed through it with a brush a few times, then a bore snake. The bore is now has a mirror shine
