    Ruger precision rifle barrel compatibility

I haven't fully field stripped my RPR. I'm trying to find out if the .308 or 6.5 barrel can be installed as a drop in barrel or retrofitted to a 7.62 AR pattern receiver.

I have no idea about if it will screw together, but you will have a small hole porting gas out the top of your barrel if it will go together.

An RPR barrel can NOT be used in a 7.62 AR pattern receiver.

A 6.5 Creedmoor and a 308 or 243 RPR barrel can be interchanged among an RPR regardless of what it originally came chambered in.
