80% 1911 Commander Bobtail frame

I'm looking for a stainless steel 80% 1911 commander bobtail frame.

Any suggestions? Experiences? Looks like 1911builders doesn't care the steel frame ones anymore.

I've purchased a frame from them before, same exact frame as the one 1911Builders is offering at a discounted price so I was happy I found them, then I think they realized they were drastically cheaper than market and leaving money on the table, so they increased their prices.

Be aware that their bobtail frame is cheaper than others because they take out the mainspring housing to sell separately for another $65... Sneaky...

$165 for a frame is dirt cheep. $165 for an oddball 1911 commander bobbed tail is ridiculous. you should buy five.

AFAIK, the mainspring housing is not included with any of the frames. If that's for a checkered housing, not a bad price.

Yep, those are checkered, so they are a pretty good deal, IMO.

On sale, it used to be $145. $155 regular. I guess they're pricing it for the election. I expect it to go as high as $185.

If you get the bobtail, be sure to ask for the "custom" mainspring housing. Might be hard to come by. Might.

Ask for anthony. And he has the main Springs too.
