I haven't used a Caspian yet on a build, but have used Fusion. My deciding factor was delivery time. Both use good materials, so you can go wrong with either. I'll probably end up getting a Caspian for another build at some point. The Fusion is very nice and fit and finish is top notch. I did have to fit everything on the slide though, so be prepared for that, from the barrel plug, to the firing pin stop, sights, all of it. Not a complaint as the finished product is very nice, but something to consider. I can't imagine the Caspian being different in that respect.sigpic -
One nice thing about Caspian. You can order the slide with customizations.
Sight cuts, forward cocking serrations, ball silde cut, etc.?The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not a ?second-class right,? subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees.? ?.. "We know of no other constitutional rights that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need."

Caspian does come bare, but you can request whatever sight cut you want and they will cut it for an additional fee. Some race guns don't have sights on the slides as they use mounts on the frame to reduce weight off the slide in the name for a few milliseconds of cycle time. Or someone might want an RMR cut with no front sight.

Have ordered and used Fusion slides exclusively for 5 pistols so far. No complaints, and I ordered them with custom features which were done at much cheaper prices than I can do local (or through Caspian) including press check cuts on slide flats in the front, ball cut stirrup, beveling of bottom of slide edges, etc. Turnaround time for anything in stock and pricing is why I stick with them.NRA Member, CAPRC MemberComment
