LR-308 build - bolt catch screw WAY too BIG *SOLVED*

I'm assembling my first LR-308 using DMPS LPK and Tactical Machining striped lower. The bolt catch screw and pin are one piece and coated in black. The pin portion is WAY too big to get started in the hole to secure the bolt catch. Ran a 3/32" bit through and dug out bead blast material, then cleaned well. Did not damage threads. I even sanded the pin portion of the bolt catch screw and still not close.

Any ideas before I spend money to buy a new screw, holding up my build?

    Thanks in advance.

Call the company who's lower it is and find the thread pitch. They may send you a bolt catch screw for free.

      Nevermind.......

TM provides a pin and set screw in the box with the stripped receiver. Instead of delete, I'll keep this here to help others.

TM uses a 4-48 pitch screw.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
