amd 65 how to fix stock and receiver hole?

    Hello,

after riveting the stock I need to fix it so it will not fold. I don't quite understand how to install the rear trunnion stock lock pins through the receiver, which has a hole that seems too small to fit the pin through (picture attached)

    Thx!!

You need to drill the hole big enough for the shank of the screw/button to be inserted.

Then take a nylon bushing, or piece of steel tube that will just fit over the screw/button and cut to the length needed to prevent the button from being pushed.

Then screw in the screw'button and done...fixed stock.

Here is a pic of one with a bushing installed preventing the stock from being folded.

That or just drill the hole in the receiver big enough for the button to be screwed into the trunion but not big enough for the last step up in size to fit. This will also prevent the button from being pushed and lock the stock open. If you are ever going to travel outside CA I would use the bushing method as you just unscrew the button, remove the bushing, reinstall and you have a folding stock with out drilling the hole bigger.
