If I took it outside in the good light, the THRU hole would be far less obvious.

There is a hole on a trunnion that you can see day light through with the pin out,

The hole shown is not it.

That's not a lawn.
That is dried up weeds that we mow every few months.
I don't water it because it is getting removed in the next few months and concreted in as part of a backyard remodel.
