    GP100 trigger work

Friend of mine wants to smooth up the trigger on his pistol. Have any of you guys worked on them or seen any decent write ups pertaining to that pistol in particular?

I installed a scorpion spring kit on my GP-1oo and it was straight forward. A kitchen forks helps as a tool if you dont want to buy the 60.00 tool for the hammer spring. It was easy to read the parts and like the gunsmith told me the Ruger design is almost impossible to install wrong. Single action trigger pull was greatly reduced with the light spring as for double action I couldn't tell a difference. If your in Sac id gladly help put a kit in I have the appropriate screw drivers and tools ( fork included ). Good luck!

PM me. I have some info for you
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

Cylinder and Slide are the only high-end shop I know that specifically does work on Rugers. Their current lead time is more than six months.

Just install a spring kit and you're done. I got a kit from a guy selling them at the Vallejo gun show for like 15 bucks and installed it in 10 mins. with a fork btw and it lightened the trigger pull just right. Made the gun MUCH better. You don't need to send it anywhere for work by a gunsmith.
That being said I'd try lightened springs first before you go filing down anything. Mine's a 3" GP100 and it's perfect with just the springs.

Get a Wolff spring kit for around 12 bucks and you are set. I have them in my Ruger single six and my SP101 and it made a huge improvement. Easy, easy install as well.
