Ejection port

here's a pic of my upper. can someone kindly walk me thru on how to take the old port and install a new one.





seems to me that it's just need to be snapped off??????

If I remember right, I'm pretty sure you need to remove the modular forward assist and the pin will pull to the rear.

that's what i thought, been trying to see how to take out the forward assist???

I'm not familiar with the upper you are using, but it looks like you need to disassemble almost the whole barrel assembly to replace the dust cover. It looks like the pin has to slide forward (towards the front sight) to remove and I don't think you can do that without removing the barrel nut. Unless you have a floating barrel then it may be easier.

On my Vltors wheather it slids forward or back, I don't remember, you need to remove the modular forward assist.

Vltor uppers do not retain the door pin like other uppers.
