Did you have a serial number engraved? Did it get deep enough to meet the ATF standards for marking a receiver?

We have a similar laser - Yes it is very easy to get waaaaay past ATF minimums.

I've actually cut through Glock slides.

I have a 50w fiber laser. It cuts through pretty damn quick so you can probably get away with quite a bit less.
