Out of curiosity, what router did you use? Don't feel too bad, I've done worse when I first started (with a Modulus Arms).

Used the Rigid trim router. It's been great, and I don't know why the bit came loose. It's my fault for not ch cling that it was tight, but according to everyone above I dodged a bullet and my f-up isn't going to be a problem.

good catch you are good to go.
but one needs to always recheck the chuck on any kind of power tooling before starting, and during (couple times).

Yeah, I learned the hard way to check the Router tightness! Not bad, but I don't want that kind of excitement ever again!

LOL, you would need Teflon coating on the end product.

You can fix almost any screw up , if the will to do so is there , I just fixed one that I cut one side so thin it broke out completely , it had been hanging in my shop for a yr or so ... I had an LPK so I figured what the heck see if I can fix it .... much easier fix than I first thought it would be .... JB welded a new pc of diamond plate on and some puddy over the edges then I wrapped it in camo mossy oak vinyl , LPK installed and already tested it ... Ran flawless making build number 5 , ready for an upper ... another 7.62 x39 as I have an extra BCG for it ...
Not planning on serializing any 80% lower ... no matter what they pass .
Liberals , No Morals , No Values the Swine god warned us about , we didn't listen when he said don't cast your pearls to the swine and now we are paying dearly .....

That will not make a bit of difference. put it together and let us know how she runs. Then make another for a spare make another one just because.
