    AR10 Selector Issue POF

    Hello all,

I am building my first AR-10:

    POF 308 Lower
    RRA NM Trigger & LPK
    POF Sleeve
    (Waiting on upper)

Now, after figuring out, with help, the few extra parts for assembly, I have it together.

I have an issue however. When the selector is set to FIRE or SAFE, the trigger will not fire. It appears when pressing the trigger it is hitting the selector switch. From what I can tell, it is just a 32nd of an inch away from firing.

Function test is fine when the selector is moved out, will fire without issue. When in the SAFE setting, it will not fire, no trigger movement. In the FIRE setting, you get trigger movement, but no hammer drop.

    Modification needed? New selector perhaps?

    What do you guys suggest?

I have a POF AR 10 lower and used a DPMS ambi selector, RRA 2 stage with no problem. Standard selectors are pretty inexpensive, it does sound as though yours is a bit too "proud" and is interfering with the hammer's release. Are you testing it with the lower fully assembled and the detent & PG in place?

I used a DPMS LPK in my POF and had no issues at all. I would agree that maybe your selector is a bit out of spec. you know you want an ambi any way

LR-08B looks to be the ambi DPMS part number. (No difference from AR15 and AR10 it appears for the part.)

          Nothing in stock yet... darn.

If the part is the same as the AR-15 part, then you can also probably use an ambi-selector from RRA or Stag as well. I have a Stag Ambi-selector installed on my AR10.

I agree. I however found a DPMS ambi and ordered it.

Will update if it fixes my problem once installed.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Installed a Ambi DPMS selector, the trigger will fire, but seems very ruff for a 2 stage trigger.

Not sure that solved the issue, but without the upper for a full function test, its hard to resolve.
