    Ar vise block

I'm getting ready to modify a complete ar upper I purchased recently, and wondered what the best vise block to use is. I already have the tools and block to build the lowers, but have done an upper yet.

This one has worked great for me in ar15 and ar10 (two different blocks sets for ea. though

CNC cut NO-M.A.R® polymer protects receivers finish. Install and remove barrels that fit 223 AR15 flat top receivers. Works with bolt group and handle installed or removed. Works in bench vises that open 4 inches wide. Use horizontally to remove or install barrels. Use vertically for cleaning and hand-guard removal. Use on your bench top for easy manipulation. Full width blocks support receiver when using small vise. Includes 2 patented Anti Torque Plates for easy handling. Heavy duty design helps remove stubborn barrels without risk!

If you are ever going to do an AR10. Plastixrevolution makes a block that fits both ar15 & AR10 .I use one works great.

I too use the Wheeler Engineering block with the gas tube alignment tube. Works well.

+1 for Magpul Bev block. For $50~ you can use it to work on torqing a barrel/handguard, installing an upper and a lower all in one.

Wheeler Engineering block with the gas tube alignment tube.
just remember to #1 use the insert so you don't crush your upper, and #2 back the alignment tool all the way out before you toque the barrel nut.

+1 on the Geissele reaction rod.
I also have a Wheeler vice block and a clamshell type vice block; but I'm using the reaction rod most if not all the time to work on AR uppers.
