    S&W Customer service

Was having a problme with the rubber grip that came with my S&W 329 PD Hiviz. It was slipping at the top when firing it. The gun comes with two grips; a wood grip held on by a single screw through the side panels, and a rubber grip. When I got the gun i installed the rubber grip but noticed it had no way to make it "permanent" to the frame like the wood grip. After firing it a few times the grip would start to slip backwards at the top.

I was about to use double sided tape to hold the top edges to the frame, when I decided to call S&W first. Got ahold of a nice guy in service who asked me if I installed a u-ring on the bottom of the frame and then used the single screw to attach the bottom of the grip. I told him there were no such parts in the gun I bought NIB. He took my info and said I should get the parts in a couple of days.

Great service. I don't know if S&W forgot to put these pieces in when they shipped it or somehow they fell out, but either way I am glad for the quick and responsive service.

Anyhow, just an FYI if anyone else has this gun and this problem, too.
