    80% AR issue

Went out this weekend with a new build. I have not had time to disassemble but want to get an idea of what to look for. I will explain the best I can with probably to much backround. This was the 1st shoot with a new 80% build. I built another identical rifle with flawless operation, no FTF or FTF. This build had 1 light primer strike no biggie with handloads done by a 1st timer, with my supervision. (my stepson)
The issue at hand is that when fired the fire/safe lever had to be "wiggled" or pushed a little bit toward the fire position again. It moved a little bit toward where semi would be, not much just a small movement past "fire" position. What should I look for when disassembling? Any ideas please...

Disassembled and found no burrs on the detent holes but did find debris in the fire/safe detent. Removed debris cleaned oiled and retested operation. Flawless through 150 rounds. Thanks everyone for the help!!

I wouldn't just assume its the lowers fault. Most LPK's now a days are Korean/Chinese.

I would look at the selector, spring, and detent. Make sure its the right spring and not a take down spring.

On the lower without complicated measuring I would look to make sure the selector detent/spring hole is centered on the selector hold. Then I would look at the step in the detent hole and make sure its deep enough.

Did ypu debur the safety detent hole? If their is a burr in there which their probably is you need to clean it up so the detent moves freely to hold the safety in the position you flip it to.

Is the safety selector loose or floppy at all?
Prior to installing your safety selector did you verify the safety detent came through at least a 1/4 way up into the opening?
On the safety selector when moving can you physically hear or feel it "click" into position? Is everything identical to your previous build? i.e LPK 80% lower and jig? Using anything diff? is your disconnect spring seated all the way into the trigger assembly?

Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Deburr all the holes right? Don't want to hinder part movement.
