Recently found what appears to be a Chicom made akm front end, My next question is how do i build this? It doesn't have a trunnion does this mean its for a milled receiver, or am i just missing it, how do i tell? If i decide to go underfolder (pinned) do i have to find a chinese stock? Can i just use the more plentiful european underfolder stock? Can't wait to be on the never ending long night without sleep hunt for parts! Seriously though where do i start, really need some akphile insight here.

It doesn't appear that either do chinese milled, do you know if another receiver fits the chinese? If i go milled do i need a trunnion, is my barrel for a milled or a stamped?

You can get a new production front trunnion from Tortort. Receivers from turbothis. The bayonet, grip, and I think handguards from polytech. The rest is probably going t be a hunt through the ak forums. You might be able to get another folding stock to function, but it's never going to look right.

I'd like to go milled if possible, is there some size difference in the barrels that may prevent me from using a milled/stamped receiver.. Can i just pick either?

As far as I know nobody makes a Chinese pattern milled receiver. The barrel diameter is 19mm vs 23/22 for AKM/ak74. The triggerguard is also unique on the Chinese guns.
