80% .308 Lower

Just bought my first 80% lower for an AR10 build. Looking to rent a jig instead of buying one if possible. I would also be needing some instruction as I have never done an 80% lower for anything. AR-10 (LR-308) is not going to be as straight-forward as an AR-15 build.
Be aware of the various patterns as you build it: Armalite, DPMS high, DPMS low.
I'm not sure what jigs are interchangeable for the various 308s out there, probably not many.

Agreed. OP, whomever manufactured that 80% should also have the jig for it. Jigs for 80% 308 are not all interchangeable. TM, 80% Arms, James Madison Tactical - none will fit each others 80%.

Only way I've found is to modify the 80% ez arms jig walls to do a DPMS style 80% lower...Even then I had to call in a favor.... I suggest before you make a big boo boo... Buy a polymer one to practice on first.... Go to the next crossroads gun show and talk to some of the vendors selling jigs and 80% lowers.... They will point you in the right. Direction.....

Thanks for the information. That has been the problem I've been having talking with people. Nothing seems to be standard like the AR15 platform. Well it's all a learning process I guess. Thanks again.
