I received an Astra Constable II with a missing trigger spring recently. I ordered two springs off of eBay, just in case. I can't for the life of me figure out how this things goes back in! I contacted the seller, he believed that the spring he sold me was for the Constable I and was not sure if it would work with the II. The exploded diagrams do not seem to look different.
Has anyone else dealt with this issue? I'm losing my mind here.
The part is question is #38 in the image below. The long end of the spring applies tension to the #18, the transfer bar. NOTE: I am not sure if the image is for the Constable I or II. They have very similar parts from comparing my gun to the diagram.
The problem is that the "short" end of the trigger spring doesn't come in contact with anything when it is installed as the diagram has me believe it should be. So there is no tension applied and the transfer bar will not engage.
