This bill seeks to amend Section 16520 of the Penal Code, specifically part (b) to read:
"(b)**As used in the following provisions, “firearm” includes the finished frame or receiver of the weapon weapon, or the unfinished frame or receiver of a weapon that can be readily converted to the functional condition of a finished frame or receiver:"
The hearing on this Bill and subsequent vote was postponed this past Tuesday. If passed, in my mind, 80% frames/receivers would cease to exist for us Californians, given what the politicians are trying to do ultimately with classifying them as firearms/handguns (think "safe handgun" roster)...
This, in addition to Assembly Bills 1663, 1664, and 1674 (which already passed Assembly Committee on Public Safety this past Tuesday and moving on to Appropriations) is quickly stripping away what little remains of Gun Rights in this silly State...
